Shoulda stuck with my original plan...

Ok. So, we're working a casino job Tuesday and have to wear a black polo to work. Lovely. Do we own black polos? No.

I didn't feel like going to WalMart, so I went to KMart instead.

They have men's knit polos on sale for 30% off. WOO HOO!!!!!

Here is where the rest of my story starts...

So I find the shirts and the tag (see attached photo) says $12.99 or 2 for $20.00. I'm thinking cool, I'll spend $7 a piece on the shirts and be done with it. I'll just get myself a men's polo. No biggie.

After I've checked out I realize that they rang up at $9.09, which is 30% of $12.99. I figured the register just can't read the discount for the $10 price. So I go to customer service. After waiting for the lady (term used loosely) to call the men's department over, and had her verify that the shirts I had were the ones that are 30% off, they called over a manager. She wasn't much of a manager, I must say. She wasn't mean, but she certainly wasn't friendly. I told her what I told the other two women, "I think these may have rung up at the wrong price".

The manager tells me, after re-calling the men's department over again, that the 30% off is off of the regular price.

I told her I agreed.

The regular price for the shirts are $12.99 OR 2 for $20.00.

She told me no, "THAT is not correct" - and then had the gall to tell me that I got a BETTER deal this way. NO I DIDN'T. It should be $14 not $18. *sigh*

I left with the stupid shirts. As I pulled out of KMart I saw Goodwill. I went there, bought two (almost new) black polos, two blouses AND a pair of shoes for just a couple dollars more than the original two shirts (at KMart's sale price). Gotta love thrift stores.

On top of all of this, there is ONE register open with a long line, the customer service center, which was helping me and two others, and at least 4 associates standing around watching...INSTEAD OF OPENING UP ANOTHER LINE for the customers waiting.

Sheesh.

This morning, after working out and going home, I went to KMart and returned the shirts. I'm so annoyed with KMart, more specifically the staff.
