Our "vacation"

Had a very long exhausting weekend. We flew up to Rochester for Matt's graduation (oldest stepkid), and planned to drive one of PEM's parents cars back.

Well plans changed....

THURSDAY

Got up at 3am

Flew up to Rochester NY

Got to my in-law's house (that they were moving out of) and ate a quick lunch

Loaded a big truck

Realized (around 4:30pm) that the big truck wasn't big enough for 30 + years worth of stuff

Offered to drive a second truck to SC if they wanted us to
Rented the second truck

Went to dinner

Went to hotel, got to bed around 11pm

FRIDAY

Got up at 7

Loaded second truck - we were supposed to be out of the house by noon
New owners showed up at 12:30
We were done at 2

Had lunch

Went to hotel, slept for 2 hours

Got ready to go to graduation

Got lost on our way to graduation

Arrived 30 mins late (no biggie)

Had dinner after, waited an hour for food

Got to bed at midnight

SATURDAY

Slept in! YAY (10 am)

Went to graduation party at the boys'/their mom's house at 12:30pm

Had a nice time until the end when Ex #1 decided she needed to give, at that VERY moment, bills to PEM

Left around 5pm - drove until midnight (got to WV)

SUNDAY

Got up at 6:30am - started driving at 7

Got to SC at 4:30

Helped unload the truck we drove (they already had unloaded the big truck)

Went to dinner

Drove to GA, dropped Alex off at her house at 10:30pm...

We got home, unloaded our car, got to bed around Midnight

It was not a vacation. But we were glad to help.
