Last Sunday (May 6) we went to the Renaissance Festival. It was kilt weekend, so yes, my dear PEM wore his kilt. It is a handmade kilt authentic to the period. He had a friend make it for him (along with the poofy shirt) a few years ago. :-)This was our second year going as a family (PEM had been before, but for Alex and I this is a fairly new "thing"). It was great! The Lost Boys rocked on, Thom Selectomy who made me gag, and one of my favorites, the Tortuga Twins. We saw the Tortuga Twins "R" rated show this year (the kids were sent off to wander on their own. I think I actually like their "PG" show better. My all time favorite was The Ded Bob Sho. Ded Bob (and Sluj), makes me laugh like no other skeleton (and dummy) I know.
If you've not had a chance to go to a RenFest, go. It's a fun day out!
