When I visit my mother-in-law, she generally will give me the latest Watchtower or Awake! magazine that Jehovah's Witnesses study from and pass out. She knows I'm interested in learning about other religions and tries to give me ones that are relevant to what I want to learn about. The latest one regarded the Bible and how it is translated and who it was written by (Authored by God of course, but written by others).
As I read through the latest magazine several questions were raised (by me). But the most interesting and thought provoking ones were these that I asked my husband:
Jewish people believe in the Old Testament only (this is how *I* was raised). Christians in the Old and New Testament. Do you think there is a chance that a THIRD testament will ever be written? And if so, could it be in the process of being written now?
It took several centuries to write the first two. So is it plausible that a third is being written now so that our future families will see it?
I am not a religious person, but I consider myself to be open minded. So ponder that. Let me know what you think! I truly am interested to hear your thoughts (whoever you may be!).
