Racing to the finish!

I'm excited about this weekend.

When PEM lost his job in January, we had already purchased our March Race Tickets. But, there was no way to justify paying the money for the race weekend in October (which is this weekend). It's sad. We both love that weekend. It's always so much fun!

So, we decided to have a small party at the house, watch the race on the big screen, and enjoy.

It has morphed into a SUPER weekend!

My dad and step-mom are driving up from Jacksonville. My brother and his trainee took the weekend off and are driving over also.

Since part of my family was going to be there, we decided to ask Paul's parents to come over Saturday to meet them. We've been together nearly 5 years and none of our parents haven't met! (My mom and in-laws will meet over Thanksgiving weekend).

The small party on Sunday, (which will not include the in-laws, they will have to be home Sunday) has turned into over 30 people. We are cooking chili and hot dogs. My brother is making 200-300 hot wings. My dad is making Ceviche. Guests are bringing goodies.

This is going to be a lot of fun.

Of course, one of my predictions is that it'll rain all day Sunday, so the race will be canceled and the kids won't be able to play outside. But even then, at least family and friends will be gathered. :-)
